REFLECTION 7/13/26

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to do a yogi-squat before and after having a baby but I was beyond happy to learn that through childbirth, God healed my years of hip immobility due to injury and strain. As a dancer, I was chronically injured. It was difficult to not allow my injuries to overtake my self image as a dancer. Then, it was beyond anything to embark on a physical journey like pregnancy and childbirth with no idea of how you will feel in your body afterwards. As a mother, you become very aware of the version of yourself that your children will know. I am grateful to say that God has used becoming a mother to not only make space for my identity as a dancer, but to add to it with answered prayers I never knew to pray.
